FOUND AND PRESIDENT OF THE EGYPTIAN SOCIETY OF COSMETIC SURGERY AND LASER (ESCSL)

Egyptian Society of Cosmetic Surgery and Laser (ESCSL)

ESCSL was formed due to the increasing demand and growth of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. No specialty currently offers formal residency training in aesthetic procedures. In today’s modern medicine, advanced technology is rapidly progressing which can clearly be seen with the use of lasers. Patients can now receive quick, non-invasive procedures with little risk or downtime (as compared to the surgical procedures that used to require a hospital operating room and general anesthesia). Most physicians get trained by CME (continuing medical education) courses or seminars which can vary in content, cost, and practicality. , therefore, membership in the ECSL open to a wide variety of medical practitioners; dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, endocrinologists, family practitioners, and general practitioners, dentists, and ENT specialists, to name a few.

Mission

We are dedicated to the advancement of aesthetic and cosmetic medicine as well as the safety for patients and the ethical conduct of physicians and other and allied healthcare professionals’ providers. This organization and society will benefit physicians such as Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, Family Physicians, OB/GYNs, Nurses, and all other specialties practicing or interested in pursuing the field of cosmetic and aesthetic medicine. ESCSL teaches the art, science, techniques, and procedures of aesthetic medicine to licensed physicians, regardless of specialty. We provide education and hands-on training and disseminate leading-edge information gathered from around the world to our members. ESCSL does this through a faculty of mainly part-time medical doctors who are highly experienced in their own fields of expertise in aesthetic medicine.

To promote the highest quality facial plastic surgery through education, dissemination of professional information, and the establishment of professional standards;

To achieve understanding and recognition of the specialty of facial plastic surgery by the medical profession, hospitals, and other medical care entities, legislative and regulatory bodies, and the public at large;

To define facial plastic surgery as a specialty that requires intensive training and competence, embodies high ethical standards, artistic ideals, commitment to humanitarian service, and a desire to enhance the quality of human life.

To serve as the public’s information source on facial plastic surgery; and To assist members in the practice of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, guiding them in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective medicine and surgery

Our Vision and Goals

Arising from our mission, ESCSL is continuously seeking to help raise standards of know-how and skills through ESCSL courses; through closer collaboration with other aesthetic medicine bodies; through advocating that aesthetic medicine can complement conventional medicine and others such as dermatology, cosmetic or plastic surgery; and by organizing medical congresses and medical ventures summits.

Attention laser companies, device companies, and aesthetic organizations

Our belief is that physicians and allied healthcare professionals should be knowledgeable about all the products available on the market. The ESCL provides organizations and companies an opportunity to exhibit, advertise, and promote their products through this website and conventions sponsored by the ESCL. Contact us from the information provided above to see if your company qualifies.
